2024 18th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Analytics (ACOMPA)

The International Conference on Advanced COMPuting and Analytics (ACOMPA) is an annual international forum for academics, engineers, practitioners and research students to exchange concepts, techniques, methods, and state-of-the-art applications for advanced computing & analytics. Initially formed as a scientific venue for high-performance computing & advanced applications, the conference kept expanding and had the pedigree of attracting international and Vietnamese participants who are all interested in advanced topics of computer science & engineering. The first occurrence of ACOMPA dates back to as early as 2007.

Advanced computing was the main themes of ACOMPA for more than dozen years, making it a popular scientific event for high performance, scientific computing and system design in the region. Overtime, the conference's body has evolved into a refreshingly expanded community of scholars, research students and practitioners whose interests include not only computing systems but also advanced analytics and its emerging enablers (data science, deep learning, process automation, etc.). On one hand, there has been growing attention in harvesting advanced computing systems in use today to make advanced analytics technically possible. On the other hand, with the rise of machine learning and data science, we expect to revisit our research questions and practical problems lingering in advanced computing that might have been inadequately addressed. In the year 2022, we acknowledged such a transitional change and began to use ACOMPA as our conference abbreviation*.

The 2024 edition of our conference series marks the second year we have adopted the new conference title. In light of the newly adopted conference title, your submissions would stay better focused and topical. In addition to research themes that accommodate high-quality regular technical papers, we host an application track facilitating viable discussions on the impact of cutting-edge technology on today's IoT-enabled, AI-empowered smart society. As the conference is open for two rounds of submission, you literally have more opportunities to submit your work. At this 18th iteration, ACOMPA will be co-located with the 11th International Conference on Future Data and Security Engineering on the modern, newly built campus of the Vietnamese-German University, Ben Cat City, Binh Duong Province. Spanning 50 hectares of lush green landscape, the university campus is an oasis of nature and academic excellence. The grounds are adorned with a canopy of trees that create a serene environment, fostering both tranquility and inspiration for learning. At its heart stands an award-winning library, a beacon of innovation and scholarship, designed to provide state-of-the-art spaces for students and lecturers alike. This library not only serves as a repository of knowledge but also offers dynamic, flexible areas equipped with cutting-edge technology to support collaborative work and research. Complementing this is a suite of heavily invested laboratories, equipped with advanced facilities to enable groundbreaking research and hands-on learning. The university’s commitment to providing world-class resources ensures a vibrant academic community where ideas flourish and future leaders are nurtured.

Regarding the recent emergence of generative chatbots such as ChatGPT, ACOMPA authors are encouraged to utilize them to improve the readability of their text. For example, they might enter their drafted paragraphs and ask a chatbot for possible suggestions. However, attempting to integrate AI-generated scientific content into your paper is disallowed. Such an attempt could result in your submission being desk-rejected.

* In the past editions of our conference series, the word of "Applications" spelled out in the old conference title remained rather muted when it comes to abbreviation. In the newly adopted conference title, we unmute this ending letter A to suggest (Advanced) Analytics.
